Setting up Facebook Conversion API (CAPI)
Here's a step-by-step guideline to help you set it up:
Step 1: Access Facebook Events Manager
- Log in to Facebook Business Manager: Go to Facebook Business Manager and log in.
Navigate to Events
- Manager: From the main menu, select "Events Manager."
Step 2: Create a Pixel
- Create a Pixel: If you don't have a Pixel, create one by clicking on "Connect Data Sources," then select "Web," and follow the prompts to create a new Pixel.
- Name Your Pixel: Give your Pixel a name and enter your website URL.
- Install Pixel: Follow the instructions to add the Pixel code to your website. You can do this manually or using a partner integration like Shopify, WordPress, etc.
Step 3: Set Up the Conversion API
- Go to Pixel Settings: In Events Manager, find your Pixel and click on it to open its settings.
- Find Conversion API: Scroll down to the Conversion API section and click "Create Access Token."
- Generate Access Token: Follow the prompts to generate an access token. Copy and save this token securely.
Step 4: Configure your Facebook Conversion manually

- Test Events: Use the "Test Events" tool in Events Manager to ensure that your events are being received correctly. Enter your website URL and perform actions to see if they appear in the test events.
- Verify Data: After testing, go to the "Diagnostics" section in Events Manager to check for any issues or errors.
